PURE BREEDS

All our pure breeds are hatched and reared on the farm. The egg production of the parent birds are recorded for egg numbers, colour and egg shape. Only the best birds are used for breeding thereby increasing egg production and quality.

The eggs are incubated every 4 weeks in 2 Masalles 1300 egg incubators and then hatched in a 2600 egg Masalles hatcher. All the chicks are injected at day old for Mareks Disease. Over the following weeks they are vaccinated against; Salmonella, Coccidiosis, Gumboro Disease and Infectious Bronchitis.

HYBRID CHICKEN

These birds are brought in at day old and reared on the farm, except for the Fenton Blue, which is bred and hatched on the farm.

The birds are injected at day old for Mareks Disease and over the following weeks vaccinated against Salmonella, Coccidiosis, Gunboro Disease and Infectious Bronchitis.
